How to use our Base Doodle Coloring Pages
STEP 1 Choose your Base Pattern shape
Our Coloring Pages come with Ready-to-Doodle options for several pattern shapes that correspond directly to our collection of Base Doodle Patterns. But if you want to add Doodle Charts (or any other colorwork) to a different pattern, all the common shapes like cowls, hats, and socks are represented!

STEP 2 Download or print your Base Doodle Coloring Page PDF
These Coloring Pages come in every pattern shape and enable you to draw all of your Doodle ideas for the Base Doodle Patterns to quickly see how the different ideas work together! Add colors, motifs, and styling for your examples.

STEP 3 Get out some colors
If you already have your yarn picked out, see if you can find some colored pencils or markers (or even crayons) to correspond to your color palette. Don't worry if you don't have an exact match, you can start drawing out your charts and still end up with a good sense of the look of your project.

STEP 4 Start drawing!
Time to get creative! You can lay out and stack your Doodle Cards before you get started, or you can design directly onto the Coloring Pages - there's no wrong way to be creative! And if you find yourself swapping out colors or motifs, or heading in a completely unexpected direction - that's great! It's all part of the creative design process.
