Anti-AI Policy & Statement

Doodles by Pacific Knit Co. does NOT use or endorse the use of AI-generated images or text for any purpose.

Our stance is that generative AI systems rely on stealing work from real artists and cause harm to the environment, our communities, and to human artistic endeavors. 

Every Doodle Chart and graphic is designed by personally Jamie. All the text on our website, in our books, and in DoodleHQ is written and proofread by either Jamie, Grey, or the rest of our small team. We assemble our own PDFs, we update the website manually, and our support email inboxes are managed by a real person.

Our Doodle logo was commissioned from and created by a real human artist who was compensated appropriately for her work. 

We do not use LLMs or generative AI at any point in our design process, in writing our patterns, resources, tutorials, social media posts, or books, or for any images or artwork we produce. We also do not use LLMs or generative AI for any purpose in our daily lives outside of Pacific Knit Co.

We also ask that you please respect our hard work by NOT feeding any Doodle charts, patterns, or images into any AI system.
