The 2026 Flock Doodle Standard Cowl download includes full instructions to knit the cowl + one pre-assembled full project chart so you can match our sample.
This is a Doodle Series Pattern, which means it includes micro charts intended to be used as mix-and-match colorwork motifs throughout the project. Use the charts in this pattern, or you can substitute ANY other Doodle charts!
This pattern is worked in the round, beginning with a ribbed bottom edge, followed by stranded colorwork, and finishing in ribbing along the top edge.
SIZES
Approx. 16, 20 (24, 28, 32) in [40, 50 (60, 70, 80) cm] finished cowl circumference.
YARN
Any DK, light worsted, or sport weight yarn that meets gauge. Doodles are designed to use leftover yarn, yarn advents, or any other small batches of colorways in your stash. Yarn shown is a suggestion from the Designer. Alternative yarns are encouraged.
Sample uses Doodle Bar Yarn dyed by Fangirl Fibers & Yarnaceous Fibers.
Yardage listed in total yards per size in colorwork due to the customizable nature of this pattern.

US 5/3.75 mm or size needed to obtain gauge
24 in [60 cm] circular needles

24 sts & 24 rounds per 4 in [10 cm] in colorwork

SPECIAL TECHNIQUES
Special techniques include stranded colorwork in the round and twisted ribbing.
