Free Chart: "I Voted" Doodle

This Doodle Chart was originally shared on Instagram in November of 2024, perfect to make a quick cup cozy while you waited in line to vote!

We have included instructions below to knit this chart into a cup cozy, but it would work just as well on any of our Base Doodle Patterns, or any other pattern you have in your library that is worked over a multiple of 24 stitches

"I VOTED" DOODLE CUP COZY

MATERIALS

DK weight yarn in red, white, and blue 

US 5 / 3.75 needles (DPNs or using Magic Loop)

1-2 Stitch Markers

PATTERN INSTRUCTIONS

CAST-ON

Cast-on 48 stitches using long tail cast-on (or preferred method).

Join to work in the round, being careful not to twist your stitches, and place a marker for the BOR. 

Work 1x1 ribbing (k1, p1) or preferred ribbing style for 4 rounds. 

COLORWORK CHART

Knit 1 round in lower ribbing color.

Work the following chart around the circumference of your cozy, joining your contrast colors as necessary. 

Note: The chart is provided in sample colors as well as in greyscale. They are otherwise exactly the same, knit from whichever feels easier to use)

Knit 1 round in upper ribbing color.

FINISHING

Work 1x1 ribbing (k1, p1) or preferred ribbing style for 3 rounds. 

Bind off in pattern, weave in ends, and block.
