The Strobilus Hat is a stunning colorwork hat, which is knit in the round using circular needles, from the bottom up. THis is a great colorwork pattern for beginners and seasoned knitters alike, using simple geometric repeats and short floats.

Suggested Yarn

• 2 skeins of DK weight yarn
• Euphoria Knits Frenzy DK, 85/15 Superwash Merino/NEP, 100 g 246 yards per skein
• Sample: Plantform 9 3/4 (blue) and Sterling (white)

Approximate Yardage

• 92, 110 (145, 166) yards in MC
• 48, 58 (75, 86) yards in CC

Suggested Needles

• US 4/3.5 mm for ribbing
• US 5/3.75 mm or size needed to obtain gauge
• 24 in (60 cm) circulars

Gauge

• 24 sts x 25 rows per 4 in (10 cm) in colorwork
