This pattern is a collaboration with Maggie, the indie dyer behind Yarnaceous Fibers. I wanted to do something fun, inspired by my daughter’s love of dinosaurs. The cream color, called Triceratops, brought this pattern to life, paired with a beautiful warm neutral in the Gemstone collection.

Suggested Yarn

  • 2 skeins of DK weight yarn
  • Yarnaceous Fibers –Bronto DK, 85% SuperwashMerino Wool, 15% Nylon, 100 g / 3.5 oz. 246 yards (225 m)
  • Sample: Axinite (taupe), Triceratops (cream)

Approximate Yardage

  • 240 yards (219 m) in MC (background)
  • 180 yards (164 m) in CC (colorwork)

Suggested Needles

  • 24 in (60 cm) circular needles
  • US 5/3.75mm or size needed to obtain gauge

Gauge

  • 24 sts and 28 rows per 4in (10cm) in colorwork
